- ‘Smart Cities’: energy management, smart grid and energy storage, intelligent buildings, lighting, ICT, e-mobility and smart transport, electric vehicles, emergency and security.

Forum
Keynote speakers from European institutions and associations will address range of issues from legislation, industry development and good examples. ‘The Future of District Energy in the EU’ is a session, organized by Euroheat & Power.
The climate changes and natural sources depletion are the key prerequisites for the countries in South-East Europe to invest in eco-friendly technologies and to transform their energy and urban systems in line with the EU targets.
South-East Europe has a great potential for an energy mix diversification through utilization of renewable energy sources, ensuring more security and independence of the local energy systems. Another priority is the improving of energy efficiency.
Decision makers are ‘smartering up’ the cities. They are introducing advanced information and communication technologies in transport, infrastructure, buildings, etc.
