Already the 2nd edition of the International Energo Summit will be held on May 10, 2016. The event is organised biyearly and responds to the current topics from the energy sector. The project is implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic, Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and newly even under the auspices of the Visegrad Group. Also in 2016, the ENERGO SUMMIT will be held as a part of the FOR ENERGO Trade Fair which is to take place on May 10-13, 2016 at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Centre in Letňany.
Review of the last edition
The first edition which was held at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Centre in 2014 attracted almost 250 participants. Among the guests it was possible to welcome many leading personalities from the sector, and the international importance of the event was underlined by participation of representatives of the Embassies of China, Italy, Austria, Russia, Spain and Thailand. Especially the following topics were dealt with: Future of the use of renewable energy resources and projects of energy savings, new energy resources in the EU apart from the renewable energy resource technologies, e-mobility and trends of the world power engineering and impacts on the Czech Republic.
Programme of the Summit 2016
This year the summit will focus on the issues of three main topics, which are: Energy Union and its Challenges, Decarbonisation and Future of the Czech Energy Sector. The chairman of the Summit Programme Board is Ing. Jan Prokš, Director of the Czech-Moravian Electrotechnical Association, and its members are Ing. Alena Vitásková, President of the Energy Regulatory Office, and Ing. Marcela Juračková, Director of the Inspection Department of the State Energy Inspectorate.
Possibilities of cooperation and participation
Within the framework of the summit, the organiser offers a possibility of cooperation by way of sponsoring in 3 different variants.
Sponsors will have a possibility of drawing visitors’ attention and addressing all participants.
Those visitors who are interested in the summit can take part in the event for the participation fee of CZK 2,990. The price for the FOR ENERGO Trade Fair exhibitors is CZK 2,490.
Multifunction Exhibition Centre PVA EXPO PRAGUE
The largest Exhibition Centre in the Capital City has undergone an extensive modernisation in recent years, which was focused on the exhibition halls as well as background facilities for both visitors and exhibitors. There are organised 80 events every year at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Centre, with participation of more than 5,600 firms from more than 30 countries of the
world and with almost 600,000 visitors. The Exhibition Centre was extended with a Congress Hall with a unique capacity of 650 persons in May 2015.
